Angelo Lancellotti, president of Ance Campania, has endorsed the regional framework for urban regeneration in Campania as a decisive step toward restarting regeneration projects across the region, according to Il Mattino Napoli.

The framework, presented as a regional circular on urban regeneration, sets common criteria for interventions while giving municipalities a central role. Under the approach described by Lancellotti, local administrations would evaluate proposed projects and decide how interventions should be implemented, with municipal urban plans guiding the concrete application on the ground.

Among the tools envisaged are changes of use and volumetric incentives, including in cases involving relocation to different areas. Lancellotti presents these measures not as isolated building incentives, but as instruments intended to improve entire portions of territory, covering the urban fabric, services, roads, and ecological and environmental conditions.

Ance Campania says builders are ready to take part. Lancellotti states that the association is willing to participate in a permanent discussion forum with the administrations involved in regeneration and redevelopment.

He also links the regional framework to wider pressures shaping cities, including demographic decline, changing social habits, digital work, and the forthcoming regional landscape plan. No specific approved projects, municipal timelines, investment amounts, or measurable outcomes were identified in the available reporting.
