A 15-year-old student was injured in a reported classroom stabbing at the Pinetamare branch of the ISIS Vincenzo Corrado school in Castel Volturno, according to Il Mattino.

The newspaper reports that a 14-year-old classmate was arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after allegedly striking the older student in the abdomen with a knife with a seven-centimetre blade.

The reported incident took place inside a classroom of the first-year hospitality course on viale delle Acacie-Scalzone. According to the newspaper's initial reconstruction, a dispute followed horseplay during a temporary absence of the teacher.

Emergency responders treated the abdominal wound at the scene and transferred the injured student to Pineta Grande hospital in red-code condition. The student reportedly remained conscious, received stitches to the abdomen and treatment for a hand injury, and was later described as out of danger.

The circumstances preceding the alleged attack remain subject to investigation, and further details on any judicial proceedings or the school's response have not been established.
